1) I like the dog, but I wonder if the genetic health of the breed is not being compromised doing such close and repeated in-breeding. Not being an expert, however, experts are confirming this.
2) This in-breeding is not allowed in Germany nor in Latin America, but apparently in Eastern Europe (don't know about US). I think the WUSV should take steps to avoid the breed being ruined.
Just a personal opinion.

I looked at those dogs, and they already looked ruined to me.
LOL! Joking, joking, don't kill me.

You mean if a little is good alot is NOT better? For their next trick maybe they'll breed her back to her sire ....... at which point they may very well get something with three heads. The newest thing is Schutzhund dogs.
Sorry .......... just got a little carried away ......... think I have too much time on my hands.

So the sire is bred to his grandmother?

3,4 - 1........................................... in CH V1 Leah van Contra
Leah is also Trinity's mother.
There have to be common breeding rules among all WUSV member countries, but there aren't. WUSV will have to pay some attention to this and other strategy issues or the breed may get out of control. Another problem are breeding ages, for example. For sure, the WUSV is aware of many things, but in order to maintain the popularity of the breed, they want to please everybody instead of putting things right.

Is this dog from Romina? Are they Goverened under the FCI? I know the SV breeding regs say no linebreeding closer than 2-3 or 3-2. I would say do not buy this dog.

This is a good point, rbud.rm. I just had a look: http://www.fci.be/members_listing.asp?lang=en&c=europe and http://www.schaeferhunde.de/site/index.php?id=260 . Van Contra is a Hungarian breeder of top dogs, and Hungary is a full member to both organizations.
I guess this was not for this board, but for the WUSV. I may try writing them (not to put a breeder in trouble, but to avoid future abuses by setting up some regulations they may be able to agree upon in the future). However, normally SV and WUSV don't listen to small people like me.
I am just thinking that FCI allows this kind of inbreeding, but as a member of WUSV, Hungarian breeders have to comply not only FCI but also WUSV regulations (if any).

Vikram, I'm sorry; I don't know what you mean. Do I breed black GSDs? I haven't bred anything as of yet, but the bitch I'm importing is reputed to carry a black gene, so it's possible. My other male and my other female are both solid black.
