6. To be eligible for VA Excellent Select (Auslese-Ire) exhibits must fulfill (receive a passing grade) under
the conditions set out in the Universal Working Test procedure (Courage Test) under a licensed
SV/WUSV judge. All dogs shall have their identity checked and be required to demonstrate a social
attitude throughout.
7. The “helpers” in the courage test are certified helpers appointed by the Executive Committee of GSA
Ireland Ltd.
8. Courage Test Results: TSB (Pronounced); T1 (Does not release on command); T2 (Present); T3
(Fail/Insufficient); T4 (Not under control/Lack of obedience. Only those dogs which have received the top
grade “Pronounced” for the TSB assessment can be awarded the evaluation VA Excellent Select
(Auslese-Ire).
9. SV/WUSV/BVA documentation as proof of hip status. Normal (free); Fast Normal (borderline) or Grade 1
(Noch zugelassen). For BVA scored dogs this is a maximum of 12, with a maximum on one hip as shown
(8:4).
10. SV/WUSV/BVA documentation as proof of elbow status. Normal (free); Fast Normal (borderline) or Grade
1 (Noch zugelassen). Accepted BVA Grade 0.1 or lower.
11. The dog must pass an impartiality test and show indifference to gun-shot.
12. The dog must present a Progeny Group with a minimum of three (3) progeny entered in the show.
13. The dog will be required to gait off-lead.
If we look at number 12 on the list we will see that on the site they say that failure
to furnish even one of the stipulated documents shall constitute grounds to invalidate a dog’s
claim for a VA title. There shall be no exceptions to this rule.
So a new rule arrives within weeks of the show my question is how long was this known to other people within the GSA and it shall be interesting to see shall a certain VA male have any progency at the show older than puppy groups or was this always the plan and has he already gotten dogs over from germany for a group and left the rest of us at a disadvantage of trying to sort out animals for a group so close to the show.

Clause 12 is in my opinion, a step too far, and it only applies to MALES.
I suppose next year females OVER 3 or 4 years of age will have to prove they have whelped a litter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
