I was just curious if any breeders are having trouble selling their puppies.

I am not really a breeder but I have a litter or so a year, If I had 10 pups right now, I could sell them in a week I'll bet.

I've got an awesome pup out of great titled parents and I can't even get 1 email.

A freind of mine just had a litter of 8 and he sold them all before 2 weeks old, but he has been a breeder for many years, and knows a lot of people in the German Shepherd world. I also know a guy that is a hobby breeder, he has titled dogs and has dropped his price to $400.00 for a pup because he can't sell them.

I am asking $1500 for this girl which is $1000 less than what the owner of her sire reccommended.  I look for her sire to go VA in April.  this pup is worth every penny of what I am asking, its just frustrating, I know what she is and what she is capable of becoming.

Did you put a advertisement on this site under puppies for sale?

Uber Land

sure have, for about 6 weeks, and I keep reposting to make sure the ad stays towards the top of the list.

I have had many compliments on her and her breeding by most of the top breeders on here, and people just raved about her and her sisters pics.  but you think I can find someone willing to show and work her? noooo.

everyone wants to have a puppy shipped from germany, which generally won't have a health gurantee, and shipping alone will make the pup the same price as mine if not more. and I doubt the pup they are shipped will have 1/2 the temperament and drives as this girl.

things are tight everywhere.   you have to have a big name or real good marketing skills.

we have a couple of working pups for sale.  not a lot of hits on them.  not in a hurry to see them go.   then again we never breed a litter unless we have the ability to keep them all.  that even goes if there is an accident.

good luck finding your pup  a good home.
