Forgive me, for some reason I cannot get the pic to come up. Here is a link, maybe someone can help.

How old is the dog? I have certainly seen worse, but I have seen tighter as well. I do think that the pelvis is very slightly tilted which may make the left side look a little worse but the right side look a little better. It's very slight, but that's MHO. The left side of the pic shows a hip more in the socket than the right.

The dog is 15 months old. I do not know much about whqt her hips should look like,  but the vet, who is an orthopedic said, and I quote, "her hips are excellent."

I think they're ok...I would not say excellent. I have had ortho vets tell me my OFA good dog's hips were moderately dysplastic, and that my unilateral HD dog had excellent hips. Most vets now won't even comment on them; they just hand you the films or disc and tell you to send them in. Keep in mind an ortho vet sees so many terrible hips and probably very few good ones...it skews his/her perspective just a tad.

The excellents I've seen were more identical on both sides...I think good. You never know, though, w/OFA.

They look pretty good to me.

Will the hips be submitted to the OFA for prelims or the SV for an "a" stamp?

These hips were rated as OFA Excellent at 2 1/2 years and "a" normal at 12 months.  I don't have an image of the 12 month old xray...

This is my male, his were OFA fair at 6 1/2 years of age, after working his whole life in schutzhund and herding, so I'll take it!   He too was "a" normal at 12 months.  His positioning was not as good.  Tough to stretch out this long boy!   Trust me, I was the one on the legs!   Much easier to get a good shot of my female!
