Thank You everyone for such kindness. The southeast corner of Colorado on the Kansas border, is a very depressed area. Its a wide open and spread out area that is mainly agricultural. Many cases of child neglect, abuse, molestation etc. Always begging for Foster Homes. Lots of nightmare stories regarding children, which tears my heart out.
This is the area where Fuzz grew up. His mother had to slave in order to care for Fuzz and his 2 brothers. They didn't have much growing up and he learned he had to work for anything he got at an early age. Everyone loved Fuzz and his cell was always ringing by someone asking him to do something for them.
Something about a kid like Fuzz, that makes them so respectful and appreciative about anything they get. My wife would always give him a plate of whatever we had that day, and he would always clean it and be so thankful no matter what it was. He was crazy over dogs and birds. It sounds wierd him being a Coyote hunter, but he took in a bunch of dogs.
Fuzz's mom managed a Bar B Q in Lamar and the scraps people left during the day were thrown into 5 gallon buckets for Fuzz to pick up at the end of the day. I swear, there were big whole steaks, ribs, chicken strips and all kinds of goodies that I sure wouldn't have left. Fuzz would feed a bucket, and always bring one out to me. My dogs loved to hear the sound of his big Ford.
A lot of migrant farm workers were always around and some MS13 as well. Since we left the area, we have heard of lots of new gang activity in the area. There is very limited LE, so its easy pickens for a gang to come in and take over everything.
Once again, Thank You all so much!
