This is not a rhetorical question. I do not know the answer. The HGH is a working title, which is accepted by the SV, on which a dog can be breed surveyed. It is my understanding that a dog that has this title can be shown AT ALL BREED SHOWS but cannot come into consideration for a VA title. In the US this would mean, such a titled dog can be shown at the Siegershow(s) but could not be considered to go VA. Is this understanding correct? That the dog can be shown at all shows?
Thank you for any input.

I remember reading some about this on the Kirschental web site. (www.kirschental.info) It seems that if a bitch or dog is not schutzhund titled they can not achieve the VA rating. Now, why I do not know. You might want to read over the about mentioned web site and see if the answer is there.

Hi,
I own a HGH female from Kirschental kennels, Nettie vom Kirschental, (Yasko daughter). Working on getting her breed surveyed. I was told by the USA office that she can not recieve a higher rating then V at a Sieger show with her HGH title. She must have a SchH 3 title to go VA. So I guess they rate the HGH title equal to a SchH 1 or 2. Hope this helps!

Dog needs SchH2 to VA, second time around it needs SchH3.

It is also my understanding that HGH only qualifies as a working title if the dog is so employed. I recall seeing a clause stating that the dog MUST be in service on a working farm.
