Is this for real!!?? I check out the DDR dog ads off and on and found this one. If I am reading this correctly this female was ONE year old in October 2008 and now has three week old pups for sale?? Is the almighty dollar this important? Poor Paige Vom Altosland is still a puppy herself. This is  pathetic and just WRONG!

Wait, doesn't Policia breed their dogs at their 2nd heat?

by Cat on 16 February 2009 - 04:02

A dog is NOT physically  mature at one year old.  Any breeder that breeds puppies is just plain pushing too hard and too fast.

Just asking...

I agree with CAT that the equivalent of a 13 yo girl should not be giving birth.

That's exactly what it comes down to  , THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR. What a shame , I hope that person comes back a dog and is owned by somebody just like that SOB who breeds females at one year of age.

I noticed this add last night and was thinking the same thing. This female is way to young!

This may be a stupid question, but... her hips are listed as normal (a1).  I thought you can't get hips rated until at least 2 years old?  Is maybe the DOB a typo, or the HD scare inaccurate...?

You can do the "a" stamp at 12 months. OFA is at 2 years old. So the birhtday can be correct.

How would you even know what a dogs real ability will be at 12 months?  I have seen dogs at a year that are great and then peter out and then dogs that are weak at a year and really strong at 2 or 3 years.  So asside from the fact that she is not physically mature, her drives are still developing.  You have no idea how she will really work.
