Hi, was looking round the internet and I came across this site, I have registered my GSD on here but have noticed that none of her parents are or most of her family,,,, I did however find one of her great grandparents so far...

Anyway I would like to know if I can register her generation myself, more to see if I can find anymore of her anstesters further down the line, and infomation on them.

Thanks in advance.

You should complete your dog's pedigree as much as possible-that includes adding the missing ancestors. Do not concern yourself with obtaining anyone's permission to register a particular ancestor of your dog, as long as your data is supported by factual documents such as pedigrees, etc.

But please do this - make sure the dog you wish to register IS NOT already in the pedigree database as this prevents a duplicate entry. You should check thoroughly by using only the first or last name of the dog just in case something was misspelled in the past.

The long-time users of the pedigree database are continually improving its accuracy by providing data for dogs that are missing.

Best Regards,

thank you, I didn't want to just start putting in her family. I will however get on with this as soon as I can.
Thanks again shel
