I am very interested in what you all think about a mating between these two dogs. I know each breeding and pup is a crap shoot. I am just wanting to know if a pup from this mating might possibly have enough drive for schutzhund. To my untrained eye this seems to be a mating between a west german showline(sire) and working line(dam). Please correct me if Im wrong. I also would like to know if anyone has any experience with pups/dogs out of similar lines and how those pups/dog drives are. Anyone can PM me if you dont want to comment publically. Thanks!!

Sorry all, I thought it would be a clickable link. How do I put it as a clickable link? Thanks.

Could not get the link. But I am not big on crossing the lines for work.. It is hard enough to get a pup to a 3, why not get something that is more likey to have the genetics to do it. B

Hey Donna, To add a link: Push the little button that looks like a chain link. It's two to the left of the anchor. Karen

No working titles for several generations so who knows what the actual parents bring AND crossing the lines AND no annotations on hip quality. What would be the point of the breeding?

Looks like a typical BYB combo to me. Not something I would want to waste my time and $$$ on. A good dog is an investment - I look for something a little better "risk" than this... if I am going to try my luck with a crapshoot, better to do it with generations of clear joints and proof of working ability...

If you don't mind that Ralph & Emily don't have hip certification, then go for it,
they are probably not going to cost you much now, but remember,
you can pay a breeder for a well bred dog, or you can pay the vet later...........
