The black sable female was born almost solid black. She did have obvious seal brown colored legs at birth, though. These black/tans were born solid black and only started to show tan after birth. I didn't start to wonder until the tan started changing to a gray color. I have just never seen this before.

Hi chris,
Not an expert but in my desling with breedings with a black sable male with a black/red/tan female those pups are black and red. The grey color will turn red, not like a rottie, or the showlines, just reddish/tan. Black/tans are the brownish color, as for having blacks in the litter, have never had an all black change at all, always remained all black, with some reddish coloration between toes sometimes.
Cngrats, they look like real nice pups, can't wait to see them in a few more weeks. The last picture with pup, the flash is affecting the coloration of pup, never blue...
I have tried to email you, do you have a new address? April is coming soon.

They are gorgeous pups. I am thrilled with them and Fuchs.
So, you have seen this gray color change to red? I am tempted to hang onto one of these guys to see what color they turn out to be, LOL. I am going to have a hard time only picking ONE pup to keep.

ok girl, do not pick by color alone, i like the one that is sable and lying facing left but the one lying on top of that one has a cutie face, like I said, a few weeks and you will want to keep them all, then a few more weeks and you will want them all gone, LOL!!!!
Congrats again! We all will have to wait to see what color they are at 6 weeks when they have had more of a chance to change, Horse of a different color?????

To me he looks black and tan, with silver highlights. A Tri-color as I call it. :) I have bi-color pups with silver thrown about the neck and tail from their Mom. www.hasshaus.com I picked none from my 07' litter, a female from my 08' litter, and undecided about this year. Have fun with whomever is the lucky one you keep back! Trish
