I saw the article and the video,  I understand what and why they are doing what they are doing.
What is your take on the situation BOK?

Bok

by Bok on 13 February 2009 - 17:02

Two Moons,  I'm very upset and I wish there's anything in my power to stop this.

Would you be upset if your streets were infested with ferrel dogs and cats who could infect you and your family with numerous diseases, injure you or your children.  Animals who will die from starvation or disease anyway.

A dog without a master is not living the life it was intended to live, they suffer.   They can cause others to suffer as well.

It might not seem all that humane but then again its quicker than the alternative.

Yes its sad, not disputing that.    But I think its necessary for public safety and have no problem with it considering their situation in that country.

I do not believe in saving them all, not here or there.

Life can be cruel.

Please do not cut and paste your values on to those of another culture and judge accordingly.

for those of us in the west dogs are luxuries which I might add does not stop many people torturing and killing them etc.

In a country where there is no peace, security, poverty, dogs come way down the list...........................

That's true Langhaar. Needless to say that dogs are considered "defiled" or "unclean" by Muslims.

Excuse me Bok but dogs are not considered unclean by educated muslims!

No where in the Quran does it say that dogs are unclean! They are considered unclean only because of the uneducated religous fanatics. Being an educated Muslim who says his prayers and keep up to date with religon, I have no problem keeping an indoor pet! My girl roxxy sleeps on my bed at night!

Dogs protected our Holy Prophet(pbuh) and his companions. In the old times, muslims used to eat game killed by their dogs. So unless you have studied Islam, please refrain from making such statements in the future. Thank you!
