I was curious if anyone knew how someone may go about getting one of their dogs certified for service work.
not physical disability, but psychological disability, for things like post traumatic stress disorder or agrophobia (sp?) (fear of going out in public places).
thanks
Jennifer

I know some people can't leave their homes unless they can take a dog or something. sure, I bet some of the people just say they are service dogs so they can get away with carrying their little yorkie or chihuahua around, but some may be legit.
I know victims of violent crimes can get service dogs to help them cope in public, such as tramatic stress disorder.
but I hadn't been able to find how they actually get the dog certified. BTW I am in North Texas if that helps.
