I am very concerned...our alarm clock reset itself and got us up 1 hour earlier than normal...is this going to mess up his schedule? Also when we got up...he pooped outside...then we fed him...in the middle of his breakfast he stopped and immediately pooped in the kitchen and it was diarrhea...so I took him outside and he had diarrhea again...is this because of the schedule mess up or does he have coccidia? Also...how much should a male GSD puppy weigh at 9 1/2 weeks? I weighed him on my scale by holding him this morning.

At his age, there could be a few reasons for diarrhea.  Change of food and adjusting to a new environment will usually do it.
If he has Coccidia, you will notice a slimy clear discharge in his diarrhea.  I seriously doubt that just getting up an hour early would do it!

Just make sure he's getting plenty of water and if his stool doesn't firm up, take him to the vet for a fecal exam.

okay..my wife tells me I treat him like he's made of glass.  We've had him a week and this is the first time he's had diarrhea.

It might just be a change in water alot of folks forget that, I always send gallons of water with owners so they can slowly mix with their water so not so much of a change.Try boiling it for a few days make sure same food as breeder was giving.Alot of breeders give first puppy shots just before pups are picked up and some times can cause a stomach upset for a few days.
dont worry as long as the drink and eat the rest will settle down. best

You can also try a bit of plain yogurt or canned pumpkin in his food.

Do not treat them like they are made of glass.
Look more carefully at the animal and less at the scales, checking for gains or loss's is fine but you can't try to compare your pup to others as a standard.
I'd wonder what your feeding and the environment around you.
A little diarrhea is not the end of the world, but keep an eye on it for sure.
Check what and how you are feeding first.
If it doesn't stop, see a vet.

or canned pumpkin in his food.

Canned pumpkin works well but make sure it's not the type you put in pies but real pumpkin instead.

My wife just got home and he had diarrhea with a little blood...she took him to the vet just to be safe.  We are feeding Canidae..and he has done good up until now...I feed around 2 cups per day.
