got my issue today of "the whole dog journal" this is something that was bought as a gift. they are not big on the working dog. it does have some interesting articles. today is there annual approved dry food list. they take no advertising money. they are supposed to be totally impartial.
some findings
canidae is made by diamond, and made the list.
diamond made the list.
wellnes did make the list.
orijen did not make the list.
innova did not
fromm did
solid gold did and made by diamond
to make the list, no corn, no animal by products, complete manufacturer information. whole vegetables, protien types.
if you have the chance you should take a look.
don't be bummed if your food did not make the list. be an informed consumer and do your research.

The Whole Dog Journal lists grain free dog food in a different issue than dog food with grain. The March issue will list all the approved grain free dog foods. You can bet Orijen and Wellness will be on that list. The list you read is the approved list of dry kibble with grain. Take a look at the the March issue.
