Contacted the woman about the bitch and she has not responded. From what the description states it seems the dog is in a shelter..of sorts. Anyhow, attempted to contact her about the whereabouts of the bitch or whether the dog could be shipped and to no avail. If you one of you guys could perhaps give it a shot?

If you do please notify me of any response the woman gives. Id be hoping the bitch got adopted into a pet home, but with no response cant say.

Wow, poor dog! wouldn't shipping be to hard on the dog especially in this condition? Just curious

Maybe she doesnt speak english. Poor dog but dont think that dog will survive shipping. Who would do such a thing?

e-mailed asking the status of the animal.  why not reporting the abuse to the german authorities?

by susanandthek9s on 01 February 2009 - 20:02

Omigod that poor sad dog! Can anyone in Germany get her out of there? I doubt they'll release her to the U.S. We would take her if they would.

by susanandthek9s on 01 February 2009 - 20:02

Before emailing the contact and accusing her of not reporting abuse, please consider the possibility that the poor dog was picked up as a starving stray on the streets.

by candis on 01 February 2009 - 20:02

Didn't think that happened in Europe but I now know it can..

As far as shipping goes--the dog's weight isn't much worse than what some people (not me) consider the ideal GSD weight. If she's otherwise healthy, the weight shouldn't be a problem.

She looks so forlorn and completely heartbroken, as if she'd been abandoned by someone she loved very much. Sadly, that is probably what happened.

How awful! Absolutely breaks my heart. That poor sweet girl! What can be done to get her out of there? Is there anything anyone can do to help?
