Everybody has Ideas about the way training should happen, early in the mourning late at night, mid day, 20 min. or 2 hour training Tracking 3 days a week ,protection 4 days a week etc. What is your plan for training your Schutzhund dog? Who is your model example for training? What is the best training Idea you learned last year?

Anytime of the day, any weather....... Sure at a club trial tracking will most likely be early A.M. However if you are trialing at a national or regional event it could be later in the day. As well as obedience. So, anything goes with weather. If you track in tougher conditions all the time, come your club trial you will be that much better prepared.
Ideally tracking everyday........in my dream world
short fun obedience sessions almost everyday.....
Protection twice per week usually suits us well.
Also, don't always train by yourself, it's always a good thing, no matter how experienced you are, to have someone else watch you. I learned some things that I was doing as a handler, that I wasn't aware that I was doing. I just recently got a video camera so looking forward to taping obedience sessions. I'm 8 months pregnant, so that'll be after baby. As I've had to cut way back on any obedience, as I can't give that 110% effort that it needs to be and visually I'm totally different to my dog.
You might have a plan, but then need to change that plan as time goes on. However, having a plan and a goal in mind is always a good thing.
There's not one idea in particular that I learned that comes to immediate mind.

The best time to train- Any time I can get off my butt and do it!
OB- 2, 10 minute training sessions every day will take you a long way.
TR- a couple of times a week works for me.
PR- 1 or 2 sessions a week does it. With good dogs, 90% of this phase is contole work.
I am a local club level competitor who just enjoys my dogs and yes, I do get them titled. If you desire podeum or higher level compitition, more time is required in all 3 phases.
My model trainers, in no peticular order:
Jason Lake for giving me insperation http://www.youtube.com/user/schutzhundgsd
Mark & Anne Marie Chaffen for their talent in training and their willingness to share their passion with so many.
Dean calderon, not for his acoplishments (which I do admire) but for his love of the dog and his quest for greatness.
