angus got his therapy dog certification today!

i'm very happy cuz angus passed his therapy test evaluation today! he got to see his little teeny girlfriends (a mini-doxie and a chi-weenie) plus his other old pals and a number of new dogs. the only part i was worried about was "meeting" other dogs cuz he LOVES little dogs and they used them as the distraction. but, he did great. a number of us went to lunch with our dogs afterwards and a little italian place let us walk our dogs thru the restaurant to the outside patio. our dogs were perfectly behaved. the little texas lacy started singing at one point which was funny, but after she got treats she was fine. she really does sing. i'm very happy with him and we're looking into hopefully seeing recuperating soldiers along with visits to assisted living and reading programs. the evaluator was very happy with angus and had remarked at the difference between him and the other gsds she's seen in the last few years. she really liked how calm he was. it's great to see a dog with a job he enjoys. the only thing i think he'd like better is if he could visit a dog hospital!

well, i figured, i have alot of scots and german in me, and i love the name angus and my son is named after my german ancestor who came to the usa in the early 1800's, so my dog gets the scottish name. plus i'm a fan of angus young.
