Why do adult dogs chew? My gsd ate my brand new boots this morning! Grrrrrr!

by beetree on 31 January 2009 - 19:01

We are off to the pet store for bully sticks, and new toys, as they have all been obliterated or ingested. They sure know how to get your attention when they catch you slacking! Many of the backs of my shoes have that roughened look and my dog detests anything that looks like a bootstrap, all must be removed at the first opportunity. Sleek lines with a rough edge, that's what he's looking for in a shoe.

Pharaoh

Pharaoh has never wrecked anything inside the house.  He still has stuffed toys from when he was 8 weeks old.

He is into search and destroy missions in the garden where he seeks out the evil black tubes that used to be irrigation lines.

They caught his attention when one of the tiny drip lines pulled off the bigger 1 inch lines and created a little geyser.  Since then, he searches for irrigation lines.

This spring (or sooner since we are in a drought) I will have to redo a lot of the irrigation.  This time, the big lines wiil be covered with sections of chicken wire that is tacked into the ground.
