i just read a post from a thread back in April 2008. The person stated that he (or she) had heard from a Schutzhund judge that the SV had voted to reinstate long coats, effective in 2010. Then another posted that the vote would take place in May or June of 2008. Does anyone know the facts on this? I also heard this from a West German Show line breeder the other day.

True. But a separate breed book and other separations.

My understanding is that the SV General Assembly voted to reinstate longstock coats back into breed books and eligible for showing in May 2008. Again my understanding is that longstocks will be shown as a variety.
That said it all needs to be worked out and implemented. I'm anxiously awaiting that to happen. I too have heard 2010.
