I was reading an article in the December issue of the G.S.D magazine headed Juvenile Renal Dysplasia(J.D.R) my opinions by David Payne. At the bottom of the column one mr Payne writes "quote" "I have a dream"(hence the Martin Luther king reference in the heading) That one day ALL health screening tests will be compulsory for ALL dogs before they are used for breeding and details will be included on all Kennel Club Registration Certificates. My dream is certainly a nightmare for all on scrupulous G.S.D breeders and so it goes on. At a glance very commendable thoughts however it begs the question Mr Payne did you have this dream when your import "Rocky VomHausTepferd" was cut loose on the British Breeders and did so much damage to the females he covered . "Rocky" was later sold on to a new owner in China. I had a call to say "Rocky" had recently passed away with some infection i have no confirmation that this is correct. However its time you stepped up to the plate and give the G.S.D folk all the facts on this matter. I spoke to one lady who had big problems with her Female, she couldnt even get part of her £500 stud fee back from you to go towards her vast vet bills. When you write about various subjects Mr Payne you have a happy knack of forgetting about things you have done and said in the past. The K.C and the B.C didnt look into the "Rocky" situation. I wrote about peoples concern about this matter in 2007 in my Midlands Notes but it was edited out Mr Payne advised me to leave the subject alone as any mention of Rocky on my part would meet with some nasty retribution from the Chinese Mafia i assume you will as usual get this deleted but i have more to follow
