Okay, my girl is just turning 12 months next week and I have been watching her movements. I do not like what I see she seems to favor the left hind. It is not extreme but noticable. She came out of season 3 months ago and expect her to come back in three months. Is it safe to have her x-rayed now?
If she comes up hip dysplastic I will contact the breeder but I do not know what her guarantee is should I request a replacement dog? Never been in a situation like this before

You sound like you really don't know whats wrong with her. Maybe something simple.
If your worried have her looked at but don't get into a panic just yet.
You may or may not have any guarantee, but you would send her back at a year of age?
Sorry thats just cold to me.
And if this breeder sold you a problem dog I wouldn't want his replacement unless it was from different bloodlines.
Have her looked at first.

She has had issues with pano in the past and once treated she was just fine. I'm just concerned for her is all. As to ever sending her away will not happen. I love her way to much to do that this is her forever home. She's just the best and I am more worried about her suffering is all. I will call the vets in the morning. Thanks for your kind words

x-rays is the only way to tell what is wrong, if anything. Make sure you take her to a vet who is known for good positioning and exposure. Don't worry too much until you know what is going on - good or bad at least you will know. No guessing - find out.
good luck.

Would you take the dog right to Michigan State for the x-ray or go to your vet? I have had dogs x-rayed in the past and the vet screwed up the x-ray just don't want to go through that with this girl.
