I started searching this site after my male GSD died last December. In the past, I had a mentor/friend from Germany; however, due to his age-related poor health, he could no longer help with the process of importing. I must admit that some of the reported  experiences with importing dogs from Germany were quite discouraging.

I had the opportunity to discover Ulli Dresbach through this site and I now have a most wonderful 3 yr. old titled male! Uli assisted me every step of the way from finding the dog, contacting the owner (who did not speak English), making arrangements for transport, and then encouragement when Delta created much chaos in the process. 

If anyone considers importing, I highly recommend Ulli to assist in this process. He also breeds some beautiful dogs himself.

I have the utmost respect for Ulli.  It is apparent right away that he's very knowledgeable and willing to help people. I have asked him questios through the years and learned much from him.  You are lucky to have had  a chance to work through him to get the right dog for you.  And your dog does look wonderful.    Shelley is also a good resource for information.

Hey Snajper, maybe I missed something but I have found Ulli's posts to be very informative.  I like what he has added to some of the threads on the PDB.  I have found him to be very knowledgeable.

Davren, thank you very much for your kind words. Yes, it was not very nice what Delta did, but luckily at the end it worked out. And yes again, if I can be of help, I will try to do my best.

snaiper69, did I step on your toes at some point ? Actually, I am not aware of that, as I allways try to stay cool and be friendly at that. If I in fact did insult you, I do apologize, even that I dont know what this would be for. You are more then wellcome to pm or e-mail me, maybe we can get the problem taken care off, I, for my part, would love to do so.
