Is there a 13 month no one told me about LOL or is that date 4/13/85 and 3/3/96? wouldnt that still put it at 11 years?
by Johnsk9 on 25 January 2009 - 01:01

I feel sorry for this bitch. If the PDB is correct (and I am reading it right) she had 9 litters between the age of 4 and 11.

That is not that bad. There are breeders here in the usa that breed their female every heat cycle. They claim it is good for the female. But they are really just trying to justify
the wearing out of the females. They need a rest and a chance to re replenish their system
between breedings. JMO

Thats the way most Germans breed the females. They believe it is healthier for the female that way.I wonder if there are any studies to back up that breeding concept,or to disprove it ?Anyone know?
by Johnsk9 on 25 January 2009 - 01:01
That is how people justify this practice. Common sense would tell you this is unhealthy for any living female. Now think about it with dogs breeders may give puppy food to try and compensate for the nutritional lose., In humans prenatal vitamins are used and many women have Osteoporosis after having several children. I sure will not do this to my females

I had a girl friend who's dog had hormone problems, she would lose her hair if not bred .The vet told her she needed to breed the dog every heat or have it spayed? She had the dog spayed and the hair problem cleared right up.Go figure right!I I wonder why the Germans recommend this kind of breeding's.I read it in a book along time ago that they recommend back to back breeding's.Just wondering is all.
