Just go to www.germanshepherddog.com that is the USA schutzhund website and you should be able to find someone in your area.

Thanks Kelly, but I went there and noticed that the nearest person is in GA, over 6 hours from me.
Another ?:
To get a BH do you have to have the breed warden there when the tattoo is done? Can you do the tattoo yourself and still compete?
I have been offered, by a wonderful person, tattoo equipment, and need help with these questions, as I am a newbie to this
Thanks
Rebecca

Ok...chances are slim you will find a "USA Tatoo'er" to tattoo an adult dog's ear. This is different equipment than a standard pen tattoo. You can get a pen tattoo done on the dogs inner leg, or in the ear ( under sedation)....anyone with the pen tattoo equipment can do it, you just need to have it verified by a vet, tattoo'er , or breedwarden and send in the form that is was verified to USA. You can also just go with the microchip. It is the handler's responsibility to make sure a reader will be provided by club, or that they should bring their own.
I hope this helps...
