My dear fiancee has allowed me to get another shepherd, however I have to wait till it gets closer to May 2010. I'm looking for really good SchH dogs. I have a sire that I like but I'm wondering if there are any other dogs out there that could be as ideal as he is. I'm looking for Dark Sable or Black with LOTS of drive. Please let me know if you know of a good dog, kennel, trainer that I can talk to... I am looking for a puppy puppy that I can start out and train myself...

Thanks

I was at Vom Banack K9 the first week of January and the breeder has some exceptional litters on the ground and on the way. She's a well-respected breeder that specializes in the DDR / Czech / East German bloodlines so the dark sables and the blacks are the norm.

In addition to an exceptional puppy guarantee, the breeder maintains an online forum for her clients where they discuss general topics, nutrition, training, etc. When you buy a dog from Vom Banach you and your dog become part of very nice community.

Here's a link to their puppy information: www.vombanachk9.homestead.com/puppies.html

I was not in the market for a puppy, but did buy a young female that is easily the best dog I have owned in terms of temperament, intelligence, trainability, manners, attitude, and overall companionship. Here's some photos I took of her yesterday so you can get an idea how her pups grow out:
