for those who are interested in SAR, there is a good article in the new issue of Field and Stream. it has gsds in it......
there is also a nice editorial by bob marshall on page 30. this is an opportunity for people to call or write or email the white house regarding who will be managing OUR lands. with this new prez, i do not believe he will try to sell them out to the oil or coal or timber corporations (unlike the last administration). but, in order to be heard, we have to speak. this new prez seems to be a man who actually listens!!! in my personal experience, taking the time to make a phone call seems to have the greatest impact. i am a progressive who believes that we must properly manage our lands and our waterways so that, not only can we waterski, but we can fish, that not only can we hike and camp, but that we can hunt.
contacting our elected reps en masse is the best way to let them know just who WE want to take care of OUR lands and OUR business. so, this goes for who might be making decisions about pet ownership, etc. too. if we only whine and bitch about things and don't make any effort, then, hell, we will end up with something like the last administration. and i don't think the usa would survive that.
