Any body have a  greatgrand-son or greatgrand-daughter of this great dog? Where do you go back and say this is where Fero got that drive from? How far back can you see clearly,The producer of these traits. Was it Racker vom Itztal ? Axel vom Richterbach ? Where are those dogs ?

Well...I imagine any grandkids or great grandkids, even, would be getting up there in age. My first GSD that I did any serious training with was a great great grandson of Fero, direct fatherline. But he was also 3/4 showlineand would have been 9 this year had I not lost him tragically young.  I don't know enough about working lines to answer your questions is an educated manner, but he was a great dog, strong drive. I heard stories that his father Tom was quite the hardass, and my boy was poised to follow in those footsteps.  Quite a lot of dog for me at the time, to be honest. I do beleive that there was a Tom daughter at some national schutzhund event a few years back, I had trouble tracking down any kind of website or email for the owner, however.

I have a great-grandaughter of this dog.  She was a year old in October of '08.  She is Banshee von der burg Austerlitz and is located on the database if you'd like to look at her pedigree.  She is a cross between working lines and show lines, but has excellent drives.  I'm also not educated enough to answer your questions specifically--I'm sorry.  I do know this though, her grandfather, Dundee, on her maternal side was an excellent working dog as well, so I couldn't be exact on telling you where her drives originate.

My dog was a grandson of Fero vom Zeuterner Himmelreich. He had great drive, he was a great dog. He had incredible determination, persistence and will.  He had a presence about him.   He passed away a few months ago from hemangiosarcoma, but he did not give in, and was very stubborn and lived to be with me.  He was a great dog.

My stud dog V-Eagle v Eichenluft Schh3 (25X), FH2,IPO3,KKl-1lbz is a grandson of Fero, through his motherline (his mother was a Fero daughter, from Tiekerhook Kennels).  He is 10.5 years old and in perfect health, still breeding (to excellent approved females).  I also have his daughter, 3 years old, who is out of a Stormfront's Brawnson daughter - so she is a Fero great-granddaughter.  She will be titled shortly and then will be added to my breeding program.

It doesn't seem like it's been that long since I had THREE Fero daughters, and a Fero son in my breeding program.  All awesome dogs.  Now Fero is normally found off the pedigree, or 4 generations away.  Amazing how quickly time and generations fly.
