How any reasonable, intelligent human being can get very excited about a ball team comprised of members and management not only not indigenous to, not partcularly loyal to, but only affiliated with a particular geographic location by the power of the almighty dollar, is beyond me. Most of the team heros don't even keep a permanent residence in the vicinity of the "hometown" team they play for. I don't get it.

Troy Polamalu - SUPERB!
Shelley, part of the joy in watching any athletic endeavor (at least for me) is simply watching the game "for the sake of the game well played" as they say.
Sometimes it's just heart and effort that wins it, all those minute attentions to detail to focus on and to Try - just like in ANY competition, whether getting ready for a SchH trial or playing in a football game - it's admirable to see something so well done, and the Steelers play yesterday was just that. So Well Done. And as fierce competitors as these guys are, they have pretty good reputations as class acts off the field as well. Coach Mike Tomlin is a true sportsman.
Watching Polamalu make that stop on 4th and inches, when he came FLYING over the pack and, from an airborne, horizontal position, wrestled the Ravens 6'6" QB to the ground while not letting him get an INCH forward.....and (LOL) he did it while seeming to hover IN THE AIR......well, that was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.
Well, done, Pittsburgh Steelers. I can certainly see why anyone anywhere would root for them.
