Hello all
Just a quick note to let you all know Ethan has gained 12 pounds in 16 days ! That is a whopping 2 pound a day average. Vet wrote me a certification today after his exam he is healthy dog yet still severly underweight his body mass was rated 3/9 this is TODAY !! I don't know if I would say severe he is still lacking pounds but it lo0ks like he will weigh close to 80 pounds when in normal weight range if so that would be a weight gain of almost 18 pounds !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
His spirits are high and he is very playful once again !!!
I also like to thank each and every one of you whom emailed or called me in concern of him and support for me :)

hey my math was off LOL guess I was a bit excited he is doing so well :)
Ethan has gained 12 pounds in 16 days ! That is a whopping 2 pound a day average. <WRONG>
Agar........ I really did not do anything special I fed him 3 times a day for the first week about 2 2 1/2 cups each feeding he gets now 3 and 3 but I also feed alot of raw meat plus I cook stew for them but then he does not get that amount of kibble . he has now for the last 6 days been switched from adult to performance because I need to build his muscle tone up. Plus I do up the food intake in the winter with the fridged temps we are having it's a must and the dogs need it. They are now being switched from inside to outside during the day and not left out to long it has been so darn cold .
Something really strange as you all know his penis was extreme pale when I got him .Its of normal color now Anyway today at the exam one testicle was small the other very small and felt like half decented. Now this dog has been shown twice and I know he had a full set because I conducted some show ring training before the regional show last year and showed the dog as a youngster . I wonder if this has anything to do with being kenneled in an open kennel 24/7 and CT had a lot of snow and he had no choice but to have snow under him except in the doghouse ( I would hope he had one )
Very strange !! oh well I say small ones are better then none at all :)) LOL

I would recommend Satin balls for your friends dog !! I ball or patty in one meal or both .... depending how skinny and how high energy he/she is . If your friend only feeds once a day I would recommend twice.
here is the recipe
step 1Gather indgredients
This is the original recipe: 10 pounds hamburger meat (the cheapest kind) 1 lg. box of Total cereal 1 lg. box oatmeal 1 jar of wheat germ 1 1/4 cup veg oil 1 1/4 cup …
step 2Mix the ingredients
Mix everything together in a big bowl. I recommend putting the dry ingredients first, then the oils, then the egg, then the meat. That way you don't have to wash your hands…
step 3Form patties
You can form them into balls like the name suggests. I prefer patties though because they are easier to stack in the freezer that way. How much you put in each serving r…
step 4Freeze
Put the patties into bags and freeze them. Since they are served raw you need to thaw them individually when you are ready to serve them.
step 5Serve
Your dog will LOVE these, and you should see weight gain relatively shortly. The only downside is that it's raw. I know that many people serve raw and I support that.
