Two Moons

OLi,
Nice to see you are still here, last time I tried to e-mail you they all came back undelivered.  I gave up.

When you have time, I was curious how things are going there with you and if things have improved since you last commented about your local economic problems.

Things here in the USA have not improved at all.

Just curious.

Moons.

Hi,

They really haven't improved at all.   All 3 national banks went bankrupt and are now owned by the goverment.

UK (Gordon Brown) used a loophole in their terrorist law to seize all assets of two  of those banks (to save UK interest before they went under) so now all of a sudden an Icelandic bank is on an  international terror watchlist (a  minor side effect) which makes other nation afraid to touch us with a long pole.

I have not been able to cash in any advertising revenue since October,  and the hosting cost is skyrocketing.

Hopefully the whole fiasco will smooth out before the whole nation goes under.

Interesting times we live in.

Oli,

Maybe it's time for some "off shore" banking for both receiving income and paying bills.

Good luck to you, we don't want to lose you,

Michele and Pharaoh

PS.  The US Govt is not the biggest shareholder in Bank of America.  Citibank is soon to follow.

Oli,
I see the ads are back where they belong...excellent.
There may be something to the idea of banking outside your country, seems to be the way of some.
Maybe something creative could be worked out with Google.
Maybe we could all takes turns hitting the google ads for the counters.   I'd help in any way I could.
I believe things will get worst before they get better, and don't believe its random.
I think someone's gonna make out like a bandit.   We are just pawns.
Many businesses have offices in more then one country, couriers carry all kinds of things from place to place.    I don't know your customs laws but someone does.
Anyway it sucks and many here are losing their arses, I hope you can find a way.
There is more than one way to skin a cat......
If currency isn't working made valuable goods and some slick trading could be a possiblity.

Not just you but how are your friends and nieghbors faring??   People here are losing jobs and property, businesses are closing.
Our news media doesn't tell us much about anything except what they want us to know.    Makes the internet a little more valuable to hear the facts first hand from those who are actually effected.

If you have the time, elaborate.
We all wish you well I'm sure,
Moons.
