Does anyone here know of, or are themselves, who do in-home training? What's the average rate per hour? We've been looking into a couple of trainers to work with us and Zoe, and wanted to get an idea of how much it will cost us.

What state do you live in?
Around here it runs about $20 per hour, plus gas.

I get $40 per hour plus $15 for gas in Missouri. St. Louis is higher. My boss sets the rates though, not me. I just get to do the work. LOL!

I believe my trainer charges about $50 per hour for obedience, $75 hourly for behavior modification or scent detection.

Thanks guys! $75/hr is what we were quoted by the owner of All Point K9. www.allpointcanine.com/ He does it all himself, and we had a meeting with him last night so he could get a better idea of what we wanted, what Zoe needed, etc. Besides refreshing her obedience, we also want to improve her focus and off leash obedience, which he says we can get done in 8 sessions. He's available for any questions we may have at any time, can work around our schedules, and has a goal he wants met by the end of each session, even if it ends up taking an hour and half, lol.
