Obama's 'climate czar' tied to socialism Pete Chagnon
- OneNewsNow - 1/12/2009 9:45:00 AM
The Washington Times is reporting that president-elect Obama's climate czar has ties to an international organization that promotes "global governance." According to the report, as recently as last week Carol M. Browner was listed as one of "14 leaders of a socialist group's Commission for a Sustainable World Society."
The group, one of many under the umbrella group Socialist International, calls for rich countries to shrink their economies in order to combat climate change. Browner's name and biography has since been removed from the Socialist International's web page.
Ms. Browner's appointment as Obama's climate czar does not need Senate confirmation. She served previously as head of the Environmental Protection Agency under President Bill Clinton.
Just the beginning.

The funny thing is Pravda says that Russia is bracing for an ice age ......... brrr..... it is a very interesting article.
english.pravda.ru/science/earth/106922-earth_ice_age-0
Earth on the Brink of an Ice Age
The earth is now on the brink of entering another Ice Age, according to a large and compelling body of evidence from within the field of climate science. Many sources of data which provide our knowledge base of long-term climate change indicate that the warm, twelve thousand year-long Holocene period will rather soon be coming to an end, and then the earth will return to Ice Age conditions for the next 100,000 years.

Without a planet, we will have nothing.
Virtually EVERY MAJOR CLIMATOLOGIST says we have reached the tipping point, that we may now be beyond repairing the planet.
I have a child and want to do everything it takes for her. If Obama has to find three socialists, a communist, and a tree-hugging fascist to get this huge job done, I'm all for it.

YR,
I bow to your new President, it is about time that the US sees the obligation to do their share of what is nessecery to stop global warming & the destruction of this planet. It is just as MVF puts it, we only have one Earth, and we have to ensure that our grandchildren can still live safely on our planet.
IMO, Mr. Obama does the right thing, he elects the peopel based on their knowledge needed to get the job done, regardless of their belonging to this or that party. He is wise enough to realize that it is virtually imposssible to clean up after the leaving President, without the help of the very best. Althought, after watching Mr. Bush's last press conference, Mr. Obama has an easy job, because the leaving President does not one bit think, that he may have caused all this. He actually said, when he looks in the mirrow at his home in Texas, he sees a man who can be proud of himself. And that from a man who betrayed a whole nation. Oh, well....... I whole haertedly wish, that the Americans see again that they are a great nation with, forgive me, a great drive and the willingness to improve things. And I know for sure, if someone can change something, you, the american peopel will do so !
God Bless America.

I hear a lot about how Obama is going to mess this and that up. The only thing i think is sad is the lack of faith. Not in your future president but in people. The man is going to do the best he can because no one wakes up in the morning and says "I think ill ruin the economy today !". So far I am very happy with the way Mr. Obama has picked his people. It doesnt matter what party your in. All that matters is who's best for the job and that is all i can ask for.

Ulli, thank you so much for your post, I personally am very excited about our new President and his administration. Indeed a change has come, but the best is yet to come. He knows what he needs to do and is not afraid to do it. He also inspires people to be bigger than themselves, to recognize we need each other and find the common ground in those we think are our polar opposites, we must all work together to effect unselfish, positive change in this world.
To that end, President Elect Barack Obama is calling for a day of service from all who can, beginning January 19th, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. There are many good people who volunteer to help others every day, never brag about it, hell, never say anything about it. Without a doubt, they are truly heroes. This is an event to hopefully jump start the rest of us. Some of us might only help this one day, some others might find this is something very rewarding and will want to do more. Maybe it will make giving of service hip and trendy! Would that be so bad? Here is a link to a website about it:
