The hotel currently has only king and king with pull outs left for reservations.  If there is enought demand, we can arrange for alternate hotels in the area.

We are still looking for vendors, sponsors and raffle items!  Please contact the USA office for details!  April will be here before we know it!

Baldursmom- where you the one who emailed me? I will still help, i need your contact info again, and I need to be re-emailed any forms for raffle items, ads, sponsorship, etc.  I also need to discuss with someone how that special trophy I wanted to sponsor would be awarded. vonisengard@comcast.net

As stated, the show will be in Arlington Hieghts IL, about 11 miles from the O'Hare aiport.  The venue is a park directly behind the hotel.

There apparenlty will not be an officail banquet this year since there is a lack of support from sponsors due to the economy.  A few of us at the club were thing we might try and get a discount rate at Medieval Times and see if we can't get an "informal" party going there.  They have two bars and a dance floor for before and after the performance entertainment.

Dinner is included with the show which is a mock turnament with story line featuring jousting and other medieval type compititions plus a horse demonstration and falcon demo.

We need some kind of a measure of how many would be intereseted.   If there is enough interest, we may post the link for reservations on the web site as a "Place to Visit" feature with the promo code.

Any thoughts??

FYI  the mittlewest club is a major organizer of the arrangements for the show. I know that some of the club members are organizing efforts to make it a sucessful show. I am looking forward to attending since it is a 30 min drive for us .wahooooooo

Arlington Heights  is about a half an hour from me!!! There are soooooo many resonable restaurants in A.H. I have been to Medieval Times, it is ok.  JMO.. but I think that people would want to visit with their friends, and sit down at a regular table, and in a place like M.T., it would be sort of hard. Contact the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce.

HOPEFULLY.... this snow, cold, frogs, locusts and whatever else that comes our way will be gone by then!! But WAIT.... what was I thinking?.... THIS IS CHICAGO!!!!!

Stay safe, warm and be careful in this weather. Is anyone sick of shoveling snow and shoveling out cars?

Ummmm- Tornados and Thunder storms are my big fear!

Yes I can do without more snow and especially the cold.  I had to drive to Dixon IL this morning and was fearing the storm coming though!

Things are rolling on for the show,  The North Central Region is keeping it all together with the assistance of the USA Office.  Judges were announced to day for the adult classes:

Konig for the males

van Dorssen for the females

There will be awards for the best protection work, althought these have not been posted on the website.  No helpers have been announced yet either.
