To all clubs and breeders   Kim Mc Cormick  Brooklyn CT, may contact you to either join your club because she has been excused from our training group or worse  try to buy a puppy from you. I fell for her  twice by selling her 2 puppies and this is what she has done to the male  I sold her . She refuses to return the female I sold her  . The male weight in at only 62.5 pounds when I talked her into  selling me the dog back and within 10 days weight 70 pounds    see pictures !  The dog was so depleted that his penis and gums where  extreme pale. He has no health issues that could of caused his malnourished state !  I took  him to the veterinarian twice in 10 days   Weeks ago I  pointed out to her that the dog is to skinny and to feed him more.  3 weeks later the dog was so bad that I was worried he would not make it through the week. He was housed in an open kennel, bare minimum shelter . She came to training class and did not think anything is wrong with the dog !!! It now has been brought to my attention that she seems to be a hoarder and buys dogs  and then once a new pup moves in  the others are just shut out. She also was reported last year due to her horses being underweight and inadequately kept   I urge you all  to think twice . We are a community we are supposed to be the pillars  of the breed and reputable breeders and stand for  the well being of animals   people such as her need to be exposed  so another animal does not have to endure what Ethan had to  . I know situations such as these are sometimes just disregarded  or excused  uncomfortable etc .but I sure hope you will not just disregard    because they  can end such as the case in Ohio .   The dog lacked in drive in her opinion  perhaps that is why she treated him this way. NO food no energy no drive ......... at present he is placed and once all his weight is back will be enrolled into a Police K9 course.     The pictures  do not reflect how bad this dog really looked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Ethan after 10 days !!! still needs a few more pounds to be in the  normal weight range   Pia

Kinda the same thing here.  Fell asleep earlier and was woken up unexpectedly by someone knocking on the door at 2:30 in the morning!  Some chick looking for her husband who may or may not have been in the apartment upstairs!  UGGHHH!    :)  Turns out he wasn't, poor girl!

So now I'm up and need to be up early too, so I'd better get back to sleep soon.

Some scary people out there!  I hope that you are able to get the female back too.

Pia:

I,m sorry to hear about your dogs I hope this has a better ending then most. Here is my concern the information was already out there about how she treats animals obvisouly you didnt check her background well enough. At what time are we as breeders going to step up to the plate and  be responsible for the dogs we create after the sale. We constatntly hear horror stories about dogs weve sold being starved or abused the money can,t be the most important thing about or animals.

In regards to Bob's post:

You can do all the checking you want. People are very good at putting up a front, telling you what you want to hear, and making everything sound perfect. I sold a puppy once to what seemed like the model family, they even came in stayed at my home overnight after  a very long drive so I got to spend lots of time getting to know them before they left with thier puppy. The kids could not have ben more polite, the husband portrayed extensive knowledge about dogs and was very personable, and he had a very highly respectable government job. Turns out he was a very abusive to his family and dogs. Child molesters, serial killers , etc. are very good at seeming like model citizens. Sometimes, sh*t happens no matter how careful you are. I know in Pia's case this person was a fellow club member...sometimes you THINK you know people.

Just because despite your best efforts the dog ends up in abad situation does not mean it is/was about the money. The fact that Pia bought this dog back and continues to care about him proves that.
