Now that long coats are becoming accepted again, does this mean that they wont be marked down on breed survey's?

In the 90's  longcoated  ( langstock haar )  where no longer included in the breed surveys therefore removed from the breed books. RUMOR has it the SV will move to accept again !  IF they are  then they are agaoin included   just like a normal coat.

Mona Dollenwiese  mother of Yoschy was a langstockhaar !!   Yoschi now is in many pedigrees. Mona was not real bushy   nor was she resembling a collie  or a open coated dog .

Has the SV firmly decided to allow the coats back in?  I know it has been mentioned that there was talk of it, but has it actually been accomplished?  I don't think so....yet.

Right, Pia, I agree.  A lot of coated dogs have produced some of our best producers.   As long as the coat has an undercoat, as opposed to the "colie-coat" lacking an undercoat, the length of the coat should not be a disqualifying factor.  Of course, we can surmise that the reason for even considering lifting the ban is $$$$$.  Perhaps a "silver lining"?

Maybe they want to send the long coats to the Russian front.I hear it's cold up there.

Russia is the only country that was never beaten on its own front. Why? Simple answer unless you are a polar bear you have no reason to be there lol :). Bonaparte tried 50% of his troops froze to death while only 10% got back home remaining froze to death on their way back lol. Hitler tried the train engines were not able to withstand the weather. Sure they got to Moscow but Russian troops just withdraw few kilometers back into the mountains lol where no German troops dare to fallow reason? Freezing cold again lol. It is the natural defense of that country. I got a lot of Russian friends and when working outside in the winter they were short sleeves lol hahaha. I think even long coat GSD would not like to be there as well huskies sound more like it  lol hahaha :) BTW I love Russia :)

Russian front?   Is some fool trying to invade Russia again??

Its Russia I would be more inclined to belieave would be the invader.

Historically, it was the invaded.   That is where the reference to a "Russian front" came from.   When Russia invaded any former "Iron Curtain" countries, there was no front, and no war;  Russia just rolled over them.

I was referring to hogans heroes. LOL they were always getting sent to the Russian front and the inference to it being cold.
