I saw this on TV today and burst into tears ....

Poor poor dog thank God they found him in time.

But the sentence received by this EVIL WOMAN is utterly pathetic IMO,

"Yesterday 56-year-old Battison was banned from owning another animal for 25 years and was also given a 12-month supervision order." WTF??????

Is that the best the British justice system can come up with?

I think a prison sentence would be more appropriate and a psychiatric evaluation as well, she must be one twisted bitch to do that too another living creature..

The question is, do we really want sickos like this on the streets???

That is truly heartbreaking! I'm glad it turned out for the dog. Wish they would burn that bitch at the stake, instead of 25 yrs with no pets.

It scares me that this type of person is allowed to remain in society.....wonder if she has/had kids???

Despicable. Not the worst I have ever seen, considering most of us saw the photos of the case in Ohio where the jerk allowed several dogs to starve to DEATH....and left them in the kennel just where they died for weeks. And no, he will get nothing more than a slap on the wrist. Then there are other cases that have been brought before this forum, including one who remains posted under the trainer section where a man in NC starved several dogs in his care......

Given the condition of the dog, I am amazed he was able to make it and I would have been tempted too as a vet to simply end his suffering. The spirit and resilience of some dogs and some humans is amazing.

UNBELEIVABLE,what would make that BASTARD old bitch do that to that poor dog.and where is the justice in the courts,are these judges sleeping?I dont like seeing an animal end up in this condition and horrible suffering.Imagine for one second what that dog felt.Im sorry but i say a person like that old or not should be fkd up some way or another.I would give one of my nuts to be there and see such a person as this made to suffer some real suffering.Man these people bring out the worst in me.

Dear God... I never buy a News paper, that reminds me why!  Hobo is unlikely to be 12 and if the RSPCA put as much effort into promoting heavier sentences for the people who do this, as they do into interfering with pedigree dogs et al, they's be doing a good job!  They could do much, if they applied themselves... help change the laws etc... but it would leave them without programmes to self promote!  Soap box away now!

That picture will now haunt me, along with others. I normally stay away from opening these, It just makes you so sad and VERY ANGRY, that anyone could do this. Bless the couple that took him home.

These people always skate....you need to catch em in the dark somewhere and beat them with an axe handle until they shit on themselves and leave em to bleed out.  That's the only way the message is understood.
