These were taken on New Years Day at club. What a great way to start a new year.

Nice photos and a very good looking dog.  Do you have anny videos of him working?  He appears to be loaded with drive; I'd be careful and work him in prey drive as he is still young.   Good luck with him.

Sorry no video but yes he is worked mostly in prey and leaving the agression some what inside of him until he is much older. Because he is being worked the right way he is showing to have a very nice balance. My TD bred him and knows him inside and out and I am lucky to be working with him. Thanks for the nice comment also.

Wow, indoors must be nice!

Although we had a good weather day yesterday.   :)

Thanks and yes, we are very lucky to have a club member that is letting us use his building. It is heated and matted and plenty of room to train.

Jealous over here!

Missed so much training this winter so far to bad weather, ice and what not.  And have another mess coming tomorrow night..   And don't even talk to me about all the missed tracking!

Still been able to go herding though for the most part at least....

I know how you feel. This is the 1st time we have a warm place to train and training in the freezing cold really sucks but we did it anyway last year. This winter has been rough and if we did not have this place we would have lost alot of training for sure. I miss tracking also but we don't track in this weather anyway.

I just looked up his pedigree, it is really nice.  He has some super dogs in his pedigree, kind of like a who's who of the BSP.  My comment about working him in prey was based largely on the first photo, which is why I asked if you had any videos.  In the first photo he appears to be switching into defense, the helper is facing him straight on with the whip in his left hand and I can't see the tug or sleeve.  It is very hard to tell from a photo sometimes as it freezes and captures just 1 moment.  And there may be nothing wrong with pushing your dog a little, it seems he has the drives to handle it.  My experience in the past with some of my dogs that were very precocious was to start going to quickly forgetting that they are puppies.  I was at a club that would've had my current dog doing a SchH 1 routine at 8 months.  He was crushing a trial sleeve and outing by 9 months.  Way too fast, but the dog could do it.  I put a stop to that very quickly.  He is currently my K9 in the picture.  Often times when someone has a super promising pup like yours the club rushes the dog treating it like a 2 yr old dog.  I'm glad to hear your TD is working closely with you bringing out the best in this nice dog.

Thanks Jim. A helper that does not have the experience can really mess up a dog like Iso and a helper that may know how to work him correctly can go too fast with him.  We have only been doing protection for 2 mo. and I look forward to seeing what he is when he is mature. Like I said my TD/breeder knows exactly what he needs and I am VERY lucky to be working with him.
