I know that I'm a "show line" person, but come on! This girl is posted as a "working line" breeding female in Germany. Would any of you want to breed to her?

Looks like typical working line conformation to me.

I would like to see her work.

I've seen PLENTY working line dogs with MUCH better structure than that. Breeding a dog based on only work ethic is, in my opinion, no better than breeding dog based only on looks. Why on earth woud anyone settle when there are many dogs that fit the bill in both ways?

I think that's the difference between working line and show line people. In working lines... you don't judge breedworthiness by just a picture.
Show me a video of the dog working and then I might be more interested.

If she would have better head set and ears I would actually like to own her, but the head just dose not look well on the rest of the dog lol :) but picture my not do the justice to that dog. Yeah the ear thing hmmm for me would be enough not to breed her but I wouldn't mind owning her if she is a good dog. :) Keep in mind that sometimes bad, weak ears are human made :)

I'm not a breeder, but if she is healthy and has good working ability, I don't see what the big deal is.(I'll overlook the ear - perhaps the owner didn't bother to tape it LOL.) She looks like some of the earliest GSD's (cf The German Shepherd Dog in Word and Picture by Max von Stephanitz. ) I have a working line girl, and her conformation is similar. So I guess she looks fine to me - but I'm not a show line person.

I'm a working line person but I think breeding <should be> more than just the work - as it should also be more than just looks. CORRECT structure, CORRECT temperament, CORRECT drives (no I do not believe over the top crazy spinners should be bred either just because they have "wicked drives") - should ALL be taken into consideration when breeding.
Sorry but this female is just plain ugly. I don't care how she works, I wouldn't use her for breeding.
