Friends ,please provide your valuable comments regarding top line, posture, head size, impression, croup length, angulation, bone size, and other related points. My sweet boy is 15 wks old and has a great attitude. He carries an Ursus bloodline. Does he have the qualities of a show dog in terms of anatomy, pigmentation as I wish to train him for shows. Thanks in advance for your cmmnts and suggestions.   Regards Nina

I think he looks really nice too! His pasterns might be a little weak but he is only a pup....

Hi Well the ursus line in one of the most popular line for show gsd's but let me tell you a gsd will keep looking different every few months so at a puppy age he may look very promising but the whole process of growth and skelatal formation is a long one mainly due to the angulation in this breed. So what the dog will be at 24 months is another story. For what i am saying you can best way surf the net or if you have friends and breeders who keep photos of thier dogs from puppy to adult hood have a look at them this will give you what to look at your puppy and the different structure changes they go through Best way now is to give puppy good diet, and play keeping his drives high so that when you start training he can really pick up quick. For the picture he looks fine good luck

Looks pretty good to be 15 weeks old. Give him time. He has a nice head and broad chest. But he still has to fill out more. But for a 3-6 month male class puppy, I would give hime a VP at this stage if everything was intact....teeth, eyes, testicles. But he still have a long ways to go. You should attend the Sieger show in Illinois in April and see how he places. PM me if you have anymore questions or need some advice. I went to my first show (NASS 2008) in Oct 2008. I did pretty well. My name is DiAngelo.

I think he looks very promising.  Nice size bone, smooth topline, good pigment, good depth of chest for his age, very nice head and expression.  I'd be real happy with him if he was mine!  Best of luck with him!

I was thinking the same thing about his pasterns.  Use jellotin and give him some cottage cheese or yorgart for a while.  Need to build them up a little.  Other than that he looks great.
