If you show a dog in the 12-18mo class is the rateing  given a VP, P or is it SG, G.? If it is an SG or G is that the rateing that stays with the dog for when it is time to do a breed survey?  Also can you upgrade a rateing from the 12-18 mo to the 18-24mo class?  It has been awhile since I showed a dog and just need it for the breed survey for when it is time.

Thanks

Only pups under 12 months get VP, P, and LP ratings. 12 months and over get SG, or G and if a dog is 24 months old and has a SchH title or an HGH, it may receive a V,  or an SG, or G rating. One receives a rating for each show attended. Yes, it is possible to "upgrade" a rating as the dog gets older, or if the dog is shown in better condition (for example), but it is also possible, though rare, to get a lesser rating for one reason or another. For a dog to do a breed survey, a lot of qualifications must first be met as has been discussed here previously.

Hope this helps.
