New Year's Greeting To Everyone - Page 1

In some parts of the globe the year of 2009 has already begun as I type this post. I think that we who live stateside have seen what could be the most turbulent and disturbing year of our lives here. For those beyond our borders life has not been easy either. I, for one, wish to place this year behind me as one that is for most things absolutely forgettable.

But I greet the new year as one that will hopefully cause us to forget the year of 2008. The grief is not over by a longshot, but I think we have seen how much our actions affect the remains of the world, and vice-versa. We will survive this.

I want to take a moment to recognize the people who make serious and positive contributions to this messageboard. Hodie, Louise Penery, Ulli Dresbach, Preston, Two Moons, Shelly Strohl, Yellow Rose, Kerschberger, et al.

I want to thank those who provided some comic relief when necessary-Capt'n Mike; where have you you been for so long now? I for one always got a chuckle from your posts and do miss them-yaargh! I want to thank Ugly Dog for his vigilance with his continual research and theories, as though the topic and content of his posts pisses off many people here, he is obviously an intelligent man who seeks answers to serious questions.

I have not posted here very much at all this year because I am quite busy with a new job and enjoying the hell out of life at this moment. My smile has seldom been easier and my laugh has a wicked glee to it these days-maybe I am finally digging my arrival at middle age, LOL.

And this would not be complete without a special thanks to Oli whose ideas and determination built the foundation of this website for all of us to enjoy.

So in short, I thank all of you-my associates in the GSD world and wish all of you the very best. For 2009 let us each be civil with each other and be really good to our dogs!

I have been around only since November and I'm thankful for all the contributions I received from many on the few threads that I started. A couple of months ago, I knew nothing about GSD's, but by reading through many of the threads, I gained a lot of knowledge and more appreciation to German Shepherd Breed. I'm proud to be part of this community.
