Interesting that the BBC today had a reasonably long piece about puppy farming / how to ensure you purchase a healthy puppy etc. Roger Mugford and a Vet (sorry, forgot name) were on, quite a bit was mentioned about the KC accredited breeder (which we know is crappola) etc.
Was this the BBC's effort to appease our email moans? I suspect it was. I never recieved a second reply, did anyone else?
I missed the very start of the piece, was there any mention of what the KC might do?

Missbeeb - I also did not receive a reply to my second complaint, where I also asked them to explain why they had not given good breeders the opportunity to show all the good that they have done. So many breeders out there go so far to improve the breed and this is shamefully ignored by the KC and then by the BBC in their onesided programme.

MUGFORD. The clue is in the name. I went to one of his "seminars" quite a few years ago, and he spent the whole evening flogging the Kong and the Halti. Every problem could be solved with one or the other according to the veritable Mr Mugford. Not denying that both have their uses, but it was a pure marketing excersise, and a pr evening for his company. I wouldnt let him train a cockroach, he is motivated by greed and ego tickling.
JMHO! Someone correct me if im wrong!

zacsmum, lol... he's not what you'd pick to fight your corner is he? He talks a lot of twaddle too at times... how is it that these people make a fortune out of talking, well... bollocks basically? He was kind of on "our" side this morning, but no-one will actually come out and say anything too risque about the KC... why? Gimmee the chance!!!

He isnt a boat rocker, and he hasnt got the courage of his convictions. Think back to his stand on the dangerous dogs act when it was introduced in the UK, he sat on the fence so long, he must have got splinters in his butt! As you have probably guessed, i dont rate him or his proffesional opinion at all. We need the PDB common sense posse to sort the BBC and the KC out!
