So I have a few questions, maybe you guys more experience can help answer some of them. I've talked to one other person on this board privately, but would like others advice in doing this. I had considered Schutzhund with the Mambo z Pohranicni Straze male pup I'm getting later on, but may want to go another path. Something different than just sport. I know it all starts out done in prey drive also. What other types of work would you guys suggest. I thought about personal protection, or PSA or something like that. I saw one Mambo son in training for PSA. Do you guys know of any clubs around the middle Tennessee area that do that? Or what advice would you have for going into personal protection instead of just Schutzhund. I do know of a trainer who has done many types of work who isn't too far from here. I may also be contacting her, and do a lot of training with her. She has trained k9s, narcotics dogs, and trained and titled many dogs in the sport of Schutzhund, she offers training for other people for sport or personal protection. Here is Kristas website, http://www.happyvalleykennel.com/ She did have a male from the Netherlands previously who passed. He was out of KNPV lines, who was origionally imported to be a police dog. She also titled him to a SchH3, IPO3, FH, and one other title that I can't remember at the moment....just adding that because he is no longer listed on her site. Any advice on this would be appreciated as I would really like to bring out his full potential when he is older instead of just having a sleeve happy dog that would not do real protection if necessary. All of the Mambo offspring I have seen have the drives, hardness, and courage to do most any type of work. I think three I've looked are now police dogs. Anyways enough rambling, I would just prefer to do more than just sport with this future dog.

I think you need to work your dog before you decide what the dog can do,and then decide were your money can take him, it seems like you want to work him but he has to be proven. There are alot of people on here, who go from the working ,titleing pets, breeding, so do the work. Know your dog and go from there. My point I think your going backwards you have wishes but dont know what you have . Do that work first and then go for it .Please change that picture I want to see that dog in a shot .I can see. HaHa Hope you get were you want to go best DEE

Princess my pup is not born yet.....this is talking about getting future help in training if my pup has the qualities for this type of work when he is older. The dog in the picture of mine is not a Mambo pup. Anyway I'm just looking to see who would be the best to help. I'm confident I will get what I want in this litter because this is what Mambo seems to produce so often. I've known Krista for a while, I just haven't talked to her in some time now. Thankfully she is only an hour and a half from here.

There is a TN PSA Club
They gear to PP training.
You will train with hidden sleeves, dog cant become equiptment oriented, as so many do. Car jacking, multiple attackers, training in many different venues besides the same field with the same decoy, and many environmental distractions which can be tough on many dogs.. Its also a blast & good people involved.
I will cross train my GSD when I get him. Dont have a name for you but the TN club has some nice folks..
