Looking at both dogs, show line and working line german shepherds. Can it be proved that more hip head and temperment problems come out of the show lines? Whitch type dog lives longer? Is the answer fact and documented? If schutzhund USA knows the working line is what the founder had in mind than why does it promote the show line also? Why do show line dogs cost more? Why is there two sets of standards for schutzhund and the german shepherd?

because its the humans who want to define their own shepherds. One size shoe does not fit all:)

Oaklawn,
This is a very difficult question to answer because in order to show scientific fact you have to have case studies and a large enough pool of both show dogs and working dogs to get form a hypotheses from, but then you get into the debate of what defines a "working dog" or a "show dog". It’s probably fare to say that all VA dogs in the past 10-15 years have been from certain breedings that could be defined as "Show dogs" meaning the breeders goal was to produce a dog with a certain autonomy over producing a dog with high drives & hard grip which is a working dogs breeder goal. Only problem is there would not be enough of a pool of VA dogs to pull from in comparison to the working dog to get clear results on which category produces longevity and better hips. The second question regarding USA is a touchy subject, without stepping on toes or rustling feathers, just remember organizations like

Because as the sunlight passes through the atmosphere, the blue wavelengths are scattered every which way and end up coming to our eyes from all parts of the sky. That's also why the sun looks red at sunrise and sunset - the light is passing through even more atmosphere, scattering even more wavelengths, until the remaining light coming in a straight line from the sun is predominantly red.
You're welcome.
