lost.....OT - Page 1

hey guys sat here in tears :(

I have lost all my dog pics.... im totally gutted

does anyone know how i would go about retrieving them???...(if its possible)

I saved them to disk ..deleted them from my computer..then dropped my computer and cracked the screen so i sent it to be repaired and the disk was in the drive and the repair shop has lost it!!!  

i know its a long shot asking but worth a try

How long has it been since you deleted them? did the techs wipe the hard drive?

Can't the repair shop people help you?

about 3 months :S

the techs didn't do anything to the HD just replaced the screen and lost the disk grrrrr

Have you emptied your recycle bin in the last 3 months? If not, they might still be there. I would also get on the repair shop to locate your disc. I don't imagine they threw it in the garbage. They should be tearing the shop apart looking for it. Plus if they only changed the screen, why were they in your drive anyway?

no missbeeb the repair people cant find it and they only sell comps and do simple maintenance :(

recycle bin emptied every week

There are programs avaiable that can retrieve deleted data, even after deleting them through recycle bin. I hope that you are computer savvy, otherwise seek the help of some geek guys.

Here is a link that gets you to some programs which are freeware or have at least a free trial. I cant pick anyone out for you as I have not used them myself. But wish you the best of luck. Also think of websites you maybe posted to, like foras, photobucket, myspace etc. to find lost pics of yours.
