there is a new petition at www.petPAC.net for americans to sign, with regards to the fact that PETA and HSUS do NOT speak for the majority of americans in relation to their pets. it may help in the general sense that, although petpac doesn't have the financial clout and high profile (yet) that these other groups do, we have an incoming administration who may actually listen to the people. these groups will continue in their attempts to erode the rights of pet owners and (responsible) breeders. it's always worth the time it takes to read and sign the petition....
