So I was given a small bag of pre-made Olewo carrot supplement and it had the consistency of soft, fluffy bread crumbs, which I'm assuming is how it's supposed to be when made correctly. Then I bought the Olewo carrot pellets and tried to make it myself. I tried twice, no success. The first time I put one cup of hot (heated in the microwave) water in a bowl, added one Tabelspoon (Tbsp) of the carrot pellets, and one teaspoon (tsp) of olive oil. I mixed it and let it sit at room temperature covered in foil for twenty minutes. The carrots separated out of the pellet form but barely absorbed any water. I let it sit 20 more minutes, but there was still WAY too much water! It ended up being carrots at the bottom with water covering it, not firm and dry like the pre-made sample I'd previously been given. So I tried again, this time with camelina oil (dog vitamin E supplement) instead of olive oil, adding the water in 1/4 cup increments. Didn't help. What am I doing wrong?? This is so frusterating! haha I"m sure it's something simple, but please let me know what I'm doing wrong :)

I used Olewo for 6 months to give it a fair chance.  Saw NO difference in my dogs whatsoever.

I use 1/2 cup hot water to 1 heaping tbsp olewo and let sit for a while in the dog bowls then add food...I like it.
