Anal Gland Removal - Page 1

Does Anal Gland removal prevent a dog from being shown.  I would assume at this point I would not want to breed him.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I am aware it wouldnt prevent it from being shown.

However I will say that if you dog is having problems that a complete change of diet will prevent the need for surgery.  A bitch near me was scheduled for surgery after about a year of treatment.  Within 1 week of changing the diet she was a new girl and the vet has cancelled the surgery.
