Well... I don't actually have any... but I'd like some of you good cooks out there to share please because the GBS thread was really productive.

Shelley S, just for the record... when I was skint, (hard up) we lived on pasta... it was everything with pasta.  I still like pasta, which is pretty amazing... we had a lot of it for a very long time... early 90's.

LOL Brady Bee, how about something to eat first?  I love Drambuie!  Bailey's & Brandy is pretty good over ice.  It's not true that the Scots are drinkers is it? LOL

Oh that sounds very nice!!! I will try that, after something to eat !!!  I don't think it's true about the Scots being drinkers. well not every day anyway LOL The trouble is once they start, they don't know when to stop!!!!! Like a bottomless pit !!!!

OK you guys, I have been watching that darn Drambuie commercial on TV and asked everyone I know what it was like, nobody has tried it! Is it like whiskey?? I have an email with a ton of Xmas cookies, I might be able to copy/paste it if anyone is interested. They are links to the recipes.

Trailrider... first of all, it's WHISKY... no "e" in the real stuff LOL.

Xmas cookies sound great!

Drambuie is a whisky based liqueur; the recipe is supposed to come from Bonnie Prince Charlie, but my guess is that could be a wee bit suspect!

Taste?   Heavenly and warming... gives you a kind of inward glow!
