The best time to work on emprovement in anything is right after the event, It's fresh on our minds.    After leaving our Schutzhund trials what would you say, we could use some emprovements  in , Like  recruitment, good PR and reaching our goals as  clubs and promoting the working German Shepherd? I think we should welcome people and greet them and answer any questions they might have. Like what is schutzhund?and why? the numbers of T.O.P. scoring ?. What to look for in the dogs? How to start in schutzhund. What the judge looks for ? Where to find working dogs? the different type dogs and how it got that way.

At our club we actually do try to stop an answer the newbies questions. we will however invite them back to a training day to go into more in depth. This tends to work better from preventing  information overload and to see if the person is a good fit with our group.  We want to gain new members but there are enough people thet are not "keepers" that it is the most fair way to find out.  We have welcomed multiple breeds in our club from GSDs, mals, boxers, dobes airedales etc.
